Modern infotainment for your vehicle: The XZENT X-127 integrates perfectly into the dashboard of vehicles with a 1-DIN installation slot and offers the latest infotainment functions. That the X-127 device is a really comfortable device to use, is easily visible by the clean front panel layout, combining a large 9“/22.9 cm touchscreen of real glass with four hard keys, and a practical volume control knob. For optimum cockpit integration, the X-127 display mechanism offers vertical screen position and horizontal and vertical tilt angle adjustments. The X-127 provides for an easy and totally safe smartphone use in the car. The USB port on the device lets you dock your phone directly to the infotainer – the X-127 is Apple CarPlay and Google Android AutoTM certified.

Universal infotainer

The XZENT X-127 is designed for vehicles with 1-DIN mounting slot provision. The 9-inch display panel will fit in most vehicle cockpits of European car brands, avoiding overlap with safety relevant control elements etc. The multicolor sensor-field illumination provides color match with nearly every cockpit.

Large capacitive touchscreen

The X-127 comes with a large capacitive 9“/22.9 cm TFT touchscreen display with real glass surface. The high-resolution display impresses with its clarity, rich contrast, brilliant colors and high luminosity for optimal readability.

Adjustable Display

The X-127 features a display adjustment mechanism, to provide for an easy adjustment and optimum display position in the central console of most cars: vertical tilt angle -20° to +23°, horizontal display tilt angle -15° to +15° and vertical height +37.5 mm.

Smart connection: dock your mobile phone to the X-127

The X-127 provides for an easy and totally safe smartphone use in the car. The USB port on the device lets you dock your phone directly to the infotainer – the X-127 is Apple CarPlay and Google Android Auto^TM certified. Making phone calls, use Google or Apple maps to find a destination, play music and send or receive messages is true mobile convenience where the choice is yours: control and operate apps either via device touchscreen or with Apple Siri or Google’s voice assistants.

Apple CarPlay

You can dock your iPhone directly to the X-F127 via USB – the XZENT then supports Apple CarPlay. Make phone calls, use Apple maps, play music or send messages, you can control all supported functions conveniently via Siri voice control or via the large display.

Google Android Auto

The X-127 is Google Android Auto certified. With GAA you are able to access compatible apps and online services of your Android smartphone in your vehicle and operate them intuitively with the display of the device or the voice assistant from Google.

USB, DAB+ and FM: your entertainment on the road

The X-127 also provides the best mobile entertainment and digital radio reception with its “par excellence” integrated DAB+ tuner. In areas without DAB+ broadcasting, the sensitive FM RDS tuner provides an excellent reception of conventional FM radio stations.

DAB+ tuner

The X-127 features a DAB+ tuner offering MOT Slideshow, Comfort Scan, DAB-DAB Service Following and DLS-text. Aside of these comfort features, the clear digital radio reception and the simple operation are additional score points.

FM RDS tuner

The FM RDS radio receiver of the X-127 integrates a DSP for better sound quality in areas of weaker FM reception. The radio stations can be stored in 18 station presets.

A/V playback

Two rear USB ports, made for iPod/iPhone, HDMI input and a broad media-file compatibility: The X-127 is well prepared and ideally equipped for the latest A/V format playback.

Bluetooth handsfree + music streaming

The up-to-date Bluetooth 4.2 module offers advanced audio post-processing like echo cancelling and noise reduction, as well as intuitive hands-free operation with several comfort functions: search function, import of up to 1,000 phone book contacts with 3 numbers each, etc. The Bluetooth module supports A2DP music streaming with AVRCP control of paired smartphones too.

Connection of two camera systems

The XZENT X-127 features two RCA video inputs (Cam1/Cam2) for the control of two camera systems with switched power and auto switching logic. For better estimation of distance, grid line overlay can be displayed and adjusted.

SWC integration

The X-127 enables connection to steering wheel remote controls via external SWC/CAN interfaces. Analog steering wheel remote control buttons can be connected, programmed and assigned directly to the X-127. For connection to the Fiat Ducato III, the Mini-ISO plug Z-EACC-FTSWC is available separately.

Illuminated RGB multicolour hard keys

The large hard keys enable accurate operation while driving. The lighting color of the hard keys can be variably adjusted so that the X-127 integrates perfectly into the cockpit ambience of almost any vehicle.

Does the X-127 set accessory include a DAB antenna?

No. Please ensure that the DAB antenna to be deployed is an active version with SMB female connector (SMB on device is male).

Does the X-127 set accessory include GPS antenna?

Yes.

Does the set accessory include a HDMI cable?

No, but we offer optionally GBA-HDMIBOX (1 x HDMI, 2 x USB) for the X-127 .

Operation

On ignition of the engine my XZENT device powers off and reboots again.

In order to protect XZENT devices against under voltage operation and potential malfunctions (software crashes incl. electronic defects), XZENT devices are safeguarded by under-voltage monitoring. If, for example, the operating voltage is not at sufficient level upon device boot, a reboot is automatically performed to correctly initialize the device software. If such restarts occur relatively frequently, the battery and cable connections of the on-board voltage system should be checked by a vehicle service point.

Operation independent of engine start (motorhomes).

In motor homes, the XZENT device can be operated independently of the engine start by means of a separate power/acc switch with the accessory cable N-XF280-ISOACC (Ford Transit) or N-XF270-ISOACC (Fiat Ducato). This is useful for journeys with short stops or longer stays at the campsite. Please ensure that the battery(ies) are sufficiently charged (driving, external connection at the campsite, solar charging ect.). The cable must be installed by a specialist workshop.

Which requirements does my vehicle have to fulfill that the X-127 can be installed?

Can I operate my XZENT device with my existing steering wheel control (SWC) elements?

It is possible to connect an analog (resistor-based) SWC or to use a compatible StalkInterface for the IR input. Please refer to the user manual for further information. Consultation with a specialist dealer is recommended.

Camera

I am using a dual sensor camera, how do I connect it to the X-127?

In case of a dual sensor camera with only one 12 V supply, please connect it to the CAMERA1-In port. For dual sensor reversing cameras, a separate accessory GNL-SWV2X1-RCA is available, which can be used to connect the cam to the CAMERA1-In port. If you are using 2 individual cameras which feature separate 12 V supplies, please use the CAMERA1-In and CAMERA2-In ports and connect them to the Camera1 12 V and Camera2 12 V supply leads of the device.

Are the camera lines generated by the unit and are they dynamic to the steering angle?

Yes, static camera lines are generated for each camera input. These can be positioned in the camera source. A dynamic representation to the steering angle does NOT take place.

Bluetooth

How do I connect my mobile phone?

You need to connect your XZENT via your smartphone (see device user manual).

The XZENT requests a PIN to pair, what shall I enter?

Usually the device will generate a 6-digit code automatically, you only need to confirm it. In case you need manually enter a PIN code please try four times zero (0000).

Changes in contacts of my smartphone are not adopted automatically?

Your smartphone contacts will only be downloaded after your confirmation during the first connection after search&pair. Any later changes made to your contacts must be refreshed manually (see device user manual).

Media

What do I need to consider on usage of USB for media playback?

Smartphone connectivity (depending on your XZENT model e.g. Apple CarPlay or Google Android Auto) has to be connected to USB-1 port (Gray). Please make sure your USB-sticks are FAT32 formatted. XZENT suggests using high quality products with a maximum of 32 GB capacity. Higher capacity may work but cannot be guaranteed.

My USB/SD device is not detected by the XZENT even after new format.

It may happen that the file system of your device is damaged: by high frequent write/re-write cycles, inappropriate usage (including storage), errors on first format or some other reasons. Windows OS for example offers 2 different ways of format, quick-format and full-format. In such problem cases it is advised to use full-format and make sure you use FAT32 as file system. Note: if even after full format, your data devices are still not detected, it may result from an incompatibility of data carrier controller-ICs. Please try a different brand/maker.

Is there an automatic volume increase on broadcasted traffic announcements?

No, depending on the device a pop up prompting “Traffic announcement” or after an automatic source change to FM an active Icon is displayed if the function is set ON.

Software

Why do I need software updates?

We provide in periods system enhancements, to keep your device up to date with the latest software.

Where can I get software updates for my model (hardware)?

Updates for the main unit (hardware) can be downloaded from the download area of the XZENT homepage under Support > Software updates. For the navigation software iGO from NNG, updates must be obtained via the toolbox from Naviextras. There are instructions for this on the microSD card or as videos in the video section of the homepage.

What do I have to consider with software updates of my model (hardware)?

Attention: Software updates can only be applied via USB1 Port (gray). Please make sure that you pay attention to this point, when installing the device yourself. Port1 needs to be connected and well-marked. In case the device was not installed by yourself – please try the other USB Port in case you see that the update is only partially installed. The Update instruction guide should also mention this point in detail.
